RetroBrowser+ 1.7.0 Update: Atari Jaguar and Atari Lynx Emulation Arrive!

RetroBrowser+ 1.7.0 is now available! This update introduces support for two additional Atari gaming systems: the Atari Jaguar and Atari Lynx. It also brings new console bezels and an improved controller experience.

With these additions, RetroBrowser+ continues to expand its collection of retro gaming systems, directly in your browser.

Atari Jaguar and Atari Lynx Emulation

The RetroBrowser+ 1.7.0 update introduces two new WebAssembly (WASM) emulation cores:

Atari Jaguar: Discover or revisit Atari’s ambitious 64-bit home console, released in the 1990s.
Atari Lynx: Enjoy games from Atari’s classic color handheld console, known for its distinctive design and capabilities.

Both systems are now part of the RetroBrowser+ emulation library, bringing even more variety to your retro gaming collection.

Automatic Atari Jaguar Controller Overlay

The Atari Jaguar features a unique controller with a numerical keypad, making some games more challenging to control using a standard modern gamepad.

To improve usability, RetroBrowser+ now includes an automatic Jaguar controller overlay.

This visual overlay appears in the top-right corner of the emulation screen, providing a convenient reference while playing Jaguar games.

New Bezels and Automatic Atari Lynx Rotation

RetroBrowser+ 1.7.0 also introduces dedicated bezels for both new Atari systems.

The Atari Lynx receives special attention with a vertical bezel and automatic screen rotation, adapting the display to the console’s orientation.

These visual enhancements help recreate the original gaming experience while maintaining a clean and immersive interface.
